Janerose Ikwel, 23, is a fifth-year Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery student at Moi University, Eldoret, Kenya. Before joining university, she worked at Equity Bank for one and half years under the Equity pre-university program after emerging among the top students in the county. Janerose mentors high school girls in Turkana. She has served as the health director for Moi University student organization, participated in medical camps and medical students conferences organized by medical students association of Kenya (MSAKE) and the International federation for medical students association (IFMSA). She can’t wait to finish medical school in 2016 and start her career. Janerose wishes to study a postgraduate in surgery. She comments on health issues.
