LODWAR, TURKANA CENTRAL
Lodwar Township Member of the County Assembly, Hon. Bernard Kebo has urged the Turkana county governor, Hon Josphat Nanok to reshuffle the county cabinet for the sake of better service delivery and efficiency in various departments.
Kebo complained of laxity among some county executives, which is damaging the reputation of the county government. He made the remarks at the Jamhuri day celebration.

Kuchal and other officials in the department claiming that they were taking some things for granted.

“As a county government we are going wrong when it comes to strengthening of civic education. We passed a Bill that clearly states that funds should be distributed according to the demand by a ward not according to the number of wards. Personally, I have visited the office of the executive committee member of education three times and she seems not to have certain documents,”

said the MCA.
He said a ward having less number of beneficiaries of these funds should not be given the same amount of funds as that with a high number.
“On behalf of the people of Lodwar, we want our Sh.28 million plus. If you are giving a ward with 64 children Sh.4.5 million and the same amount of money to a ward with 2700 children, is that really fair?”
the MCA questioned.
He requested the Governor to reshuffle his cabinet recommending that the education county executive be replaced with a male employee.
“I know somehow I have made enemies but I want to propose to you that this is the time you can reshuffle our executives,” Hon Kebo proposed.
