Christmas with former street kids at New Hope

LODWAR, TURKANA CENTRAL
On December 23, friends decided to
spend time with the kids at New Hope
Children Centre. After a motivational
speak visit to the centre in October by
the friends, the group decided to share
the little they had with these kids as a
Christmas gift.

On this day an organization
ARTICLE 43, pledged to donate books
and establish a library that will serve
the kids at the centre, the library will
help the children from the area too.
The friends who attended the
Christmas celebrations also agreed to
sponsor the street children in Lodwar.
The director of the centre mission-
ary Dickson Maisa passion for this
small generation was evident during
this day. He made sure he found as
many friends as possible to support
the kids.
There were also motivational talks and the girls at the centre got an
opportunity to hear from women who
have made it in life. Free sanitary tow-
els were also given to the girls.
Well-wishers who could not attend
the celebrations sent their gifts. The
boys and girls appreciated so much
that they were not forgotten and were
still loved by many.
